Social & Community Programs "You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it" (The Talmud) Judaism's primary focus can be phrased as "Tikun Olam" - perfecting, healing and sanctifying an aching world. Fundamental to our mission is helping those in need in any way we can: |
Bikur Cholim Volunteers visit the sick, whether affiliated or not, to cheer them up, recite a prayer, get the Hebrew name for a "Mi-Sheberach" prayer to be recited in the synagogue, and offer any other assistance that might be needed. |
Counseling and Crisis intervention At a difficult time, a chat with the Rabbi or his wife may well help a person see things in a clearer perspective. When necessary, we can help a person in need to find suitable professional help. |
